About Us.

The Association of Plastic Waste, Pollution and Oceanography for Researchers and Academicians aspires to be a preeminent and productive hub for advancing research and community service initiatives in marine pollution oceanography.

We aim to be a trusted source of evidence-based policy advice for stakeholders responsible for shaping pollution control and management strategies, with a particular focus on marine ecosystems.

To achieve its vision and mission, ALPHA collaborates strategically with government agencies, private sector entities, and community stakeholders, both domestically and internationally, to promote integrated solutions for pollution control and management across land, freshwater, and marine environments, thereby fostering sustainable development.

Vision and Mission Statement

ALPHA vision is to become a collaborative hub for researchers and academicians, leading advancements in environment, marine pollution and oceanography through impactful research, community service, and policy guidance.

To achieve its vision, ALPHA is dedicated to:

  • Performing cutting-edge field and laboratory investigations into waste, plastics (macro- and microplastics), pollution, physiology, biology, ecotoxicology, modeling, and physical-chemical-biological analysis within the context of oceanography.
  • Coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the execution of research projects to uphold the highest standards of scientific rigor.
  • Strategically managing community service programs that address pollution control and management challenges in marine environments.
  • Skillfully managing and developing scientific personnel resources to maximize the impact of research and community service endeavors.
  • Cultivating collaborative partnerships with institutions through training programs and joint initiatives to advance research and community service goals.
  • Harnessing scientific knowledge, technology, and diverse resources through inter-institutional collaborations to enhance the quality of life within the community.
  • Establishing and nurturing strong networks, both nationally and internationally, to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange in research and community service.
  • Managing and developing state-of-the-art analytical laboratories to support high-quality research.
  • Delivering impactful educational programs, training sessions, seminars, workshops, and other scientific activities to broaden understanding and engagement.

RESEARCH, ACTION, COLLABORATION, ADVANCING, DISSEMINATION

  • Coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating research projects focused on pollution control and management, with specific emphasis on marine environments.
  • Implementing and coordinating community service initiatives to address pollution control and management challenges in marine areas.
  • Managing and developing scientific personnel resources to effectively execute research and community service activities in the field of pollution control and management, particularly in marine environments.
  • Implementing and managing cooperative programs through training and institutional partnerships to advance research and community service objectives in pollution control and management.
  • Implementing and managing collaborative programs that leverage science, technology, and other resources to improve community well-being through effective pollution control and management strategies.
  • Establishing and maintaining national and international networks to foster collaboration in research and community service within the field of pollution control and management.
  • Managing and developing analytical laboratories to support research activities.
  • Conducting educational programs, training sessions, seminars, workshops, and other scientific activities to disseminate knowledge and promote best practices.
